Abel2, a'-bel (in Hebrew, aw-bali)–meadow; fresh; grassy; a grassy place.

A great stone “in the field of Joshua the Bethshemite,” “whereon they set down the ark of Jehovah” (I Sam. 6:18, see marginal note also).
