Caphtorim (in A. V., I Chronicles 1:12, Caphthorim), caph'-to-rlm (Heb.) –converters; converts.

The inhabitants of Caphtor (Gen. 10: 14); they are supposed to have been Egyptians who were descended from Mizraim, son of Ham, and of the same race as the Philistines.
