Gideoni (mbd)

Gideoni, gld-e-o'-nl (Heb.)–of Gideon, i.e., having a likeness or quality of Gideon; warlike; impetuous; destructive.

Father of Abidan. Abidan was the man whom God chose from the tribe of Benjamin to stand with Moses when Moses was numbering the men of Israel in the wilderness (Num. 1:11).

Meta. Denial, working through the activity of faith (a Benjamite) to destroy error and to bring about discrimination, good judgment (Abidan).
