Jehoiachin (mbd)

Jehoiachin, je-hoi'-a-chin (Heb.)–whom Jehovah has appointed; whom Jah has set upright; established by Jehovah; stability of Jah; Jehovah's creation.

Son of Jehoiakim, and next to the last king of Judah. He had reigned only a very short time when he was captured by Nebuchadnezzar and taken to Babylon (II Kings 24:6-15). Jeconiah and Coniah are contracted forms of Jehoiachin.
