Riphath (mbd)

Riphath, ri-phath (Heb.)–centrifugal force; spoken word; rarefaction; slackening; remission; pardon; healing

Son of Gomer who was a son of Japheth and grandson of Noah (Gen. 10:3). In I Chronicles 1:6, he is called Diphath.

Meta. Power expressing actively through the will and the word (centrifugal force, spoken word). This activity, though more mental than spiritual, is refining and healing (rarefaction, healing). Under a negative influence this same activity or movement becomes lassitude and weakness (slackening).
