Syrian (mbd)

Syrian (in A. V., Daniel 2:4, Syriack), syr'-i-an (fr. Heb.).

The language used by the Syrians (II Kings 18:26). It is the Aramaic language, and was used at times by the Chaldeans.

Meta. The Syrians, or error thoughts of the intellect, expressing themselves in consciousness (a language denotes expression).
