Teman (mbd)

Teman, te'-man (Heb.)–south; southern quarter; on the right side, i. e., when facing east; sunny; good fortune; prosperity; abundance; good faith; firm; faithful.

a Son of Eliphaz who was a son of Esau (Gen. 36:11). b A place in Edom (Jer. 49:7).

Meta. Teman, like Tema, refers to the realm of the subconsciousness with its inherently rich stores of substance and good. Here this realm is under the influence of the Esau-and-Edom phase of mind in the individual; in other words, under material thought. (See ESAU and EDOM.)
